We’re back! I’m pleased to relate that over 20 members joined us in person on Saturday. We had a super round table discussion (without the table!) about our personal genealogy interests.
We were all struck by two things:
1 – the range of expertise we have within our own ranks, which is quite phenomenal.
2 – the energy within the room as people renewed old acquaintances, listened intently to each other and then stayed on afterwards to discuss mutual interests further.
Both of these make the committee very optimistic for our future. Thanks to everyone who came and participated.
Next meeting
Understanding that there may well be members who are reluctant to attend in person, our next meeting will be both in person and via Zoom. The subject could not be more topical. So please mark your diaries now for 1pm on April 9 for a presentation on the 1950 US Census by Ann Staley from Jacksonville.
