This collection includes transcribed records for a number of St. Johns County cemeteries. These records were transcribed by SAGS member C. Mack Wills.

Sons of Israel Cemetery

Florida - St. Johns County

Number of Names: 214

Congregation Sons of Israel cemetery is located on North Whitney Street & Evergreen Avenue, Saint Augustine, St. Johns County County, Florida, 32084. 

It is on Evergreen Avenue west of North Whitney Street.  To locate take King Street west to Palmer.  Turn right on Palmer and dive to Evergreen Street.  Turn left onto Evergreen and follow the road to the cemetery on the left side.  It is behind a yellow cement wall.

St. Augustine Memorial Park

Florida - St. Johns County

Number of Names: 4041

Craig Memorial Park was established about 1968.  It is located at 2600 Old Moultrie Road, Saint Augustine, St Johns County, Florida 32086. It is also known as St. Augustine Memorial Park.

There are various ways to arrive at the cemetery:  SR 312 to Old Moultrie Road south; US 1 south to Old Moultrie Road north: US 1 south to Lewis Point Road west to Old Moultrie Road south.  The cemetery has three entrances:  north at the office, center at the main gate, and the south end.  While the cemetery has parking at the office, there is no parking throughout the cemetery, so be sure to park on the side of road that leaves room for other cars to pass.

Switzerland Cemetery

Florida - St. Johns County

Number of Names: 164

The Switzerland Cemetery is located at 2742 State Road 13N, St. Johns County County, Florida, 32259. 

It is located on the St Johns River, 6 miles north of Orangedale on SR 13 just north of Kentucky Branch Creek.

The survey was compiled by C. Mack Wills 24 May 2011. Much effort was made to be accurate. 

Tolomato Cemetery

Florida - St. Johns County

Number of Names: 156

The Tolomato Cemetery is located at 14 Cordova Street, St. Augustine, St. Johns County County, Florida.  It is two blocks west of the city gates.

The history of the Tolomato Cemetery begins in the first Spanish period when it was the site of a Franciscan mission. It is quite small – only one acre – yet is the final resting place for some 1,000 people. It is open to the public from 11:00am to 3:00pm on the third Saturday of each month.

Trinity Episcopal Parish Memorial Garden

Florida - St. Johns County

Number of Names: 51

Trinity Memorial Parish Garden is located at 215 St George Street, Saint Augustine, St. Johns County County, Florida, 32084. The Memorial Garden is on the church grounds.

Woodlawn Cemetery

Florida - St. Johns County

Number of Names: 404

Woodlawn Cemetery is located at the corner of Woodlawn and Bruen, St. Augustine, St Johns County, Florida.  It is located off North Rodriguez & Pearl streets, adjacent to Evergreen cemetery.  To locate the cemetery, start at U.S. 1 & King, go west 1/4 mile, turn right on North Rodriguez Street (small street at the railroad tracks).  Follow Rodriguez around past Evergreen cemetery, immediate right on Woodlawn to Bruen.

The cemetery is surrounded by two sides of trees and two sides of houses. There is no parking area, only an unpaved road that circles around the cemetery.  The cemetery was overgrown shrubbery for years, however, in 2021 volunteers cleared the cemetery, after which 100% of the stones were re-photographed and 475 memorials (46%) were added with death years dating back to 1928.  There are no section labels.  Plot sections are listed as SE (entrance), SW, NE, NW and sides of the roads.
