Florida Census Mortality Schedule for 1885

In addition to the Population Schedule, Agriculture, Manufacturing, and Mortality Schedules were taken in connection with the 1885 Florida State Census enumeration. This Mortality Schedule is important to the genealogist because deaths were not always recorded during this time period and because the 1890 Federal Census was destroyed.
"The Mortality Schedule enumerated deaths that occurred during the census year: June 1, 1884, to May 31, 1885. R. F. Ximanes was the enumerator who recorded the following information about the deceased: Name, age, sex, color, marital status.
Note: Age at last birthday is given. If less than one year, age is given as a fraction; i.e., 4/12 means the infant was four months old.

Occupation of deceased.
Month in which person died, cause of death
How long deceased lived in the county; fractions used for less than one year.
