The following index of Probate and Court Records of St. Johns County, Florida was compiled by Deborah L Guess, from volumes donated to the St. Augustine Historical Society by the County of St. Johns. The original listing by Guess was in chronological order. The information was formatted in alphabetical order for ease in researching individual names. The formatting and transcription was done by SAGS member C. Mark Wills in 2007.
In some cases the original record name was not readily legible and so may be misspelled. In those cases a possible correct spelling is added in parentheses after the name. Some names are listed in duplicate or triplicate because their record appears on several listings. This location is located in a code column following the page numbers where the name is located in the records. A code chart is given at the start of the name listing. The pertinent information can be researched at the St. Augustine Historical Society.
